Leo's was amazing to work with and did a fabulous job reupholstering our dining room chairs. They were friendly, reasonably priced, meticulous, and even completed the job ahead of schedule. I am so happy with how our chairs turned out and would absolutely work with them again.

We want to high recommend Leo's. Nice group to work with. Fast, friendly, and absolutely amazing job. I bought in broken chair and really just wanted it to be functional, not perfect, because it is a dining chair and the legs would not really be seen (not to mention our chair is low quality). However, they did such a great job that nobody can find the repair area. Top notch!

Leo's Upholstery did an amazing job reupholstering an antique chair and I highly recommend their work. They were very responsive and highly knowledgeable as we discussed the project, and they completed the job early, and as quoted. I was particularly impressed as some structural / alignment repairs had to be made to the frame, after I bought in the refinished piece, and Leo's managed these at no additional cost and without damaging the finish. The chair seat , from webbing to coil springs and batting, also had to be entirely re-built. I trusted them with a cherished piece and some very expensive fabric, and couldn't be more pleased with the very high quality of their work, the reasonable cost, and the end result. I strongly recommend!

Here's a nice friendly upholstery place on Chicago's NW-side. They do some custom work and have reasonable prices. I had the seat for my motorcycle reupholstered here a few years back and recently inquired about some headrests. The guys said he could do it but recommended trying specialty auto upholster first.

This is the 7th piece of furniture we have had Leo's either reupholster or refinish. They do a beautiful job and I highly recommend them. It's great to receive wonderful service from a small local business.

Leo's Upholstery does fantastic work. They have a quick turnaround and are good about communication. Their prices for larger pieces can get a bit pricey even if you are providing the fabric but you are paying for top-notch work and service so it is worth it.

About 15 years ago, I found two Danish teak chairs in an alley in Chicago. They were pretty broke down, no cushions. I took them in and did the best I could with them myself on no budget. I've hung onto them all of this time because I love them. Recently, my partner and I got a new idea for these chairs. Blue leather cushions became an obsession. By a stroke of luck, I was referred to Leo's. I got in touch through email to assess and Frank - he runs the place - was prompt, friendly, straight-up, and professional. I decided to take the chairs to Leo's based on my email experience with Frank. Meeting him in person I had the same experience - prompt, friendly, straight-up, and professional. He knew just what to do, had blue leather in stock (more luck) which saved me hundreds, and made some good suggestions to maximize take-home value. I decided to have the chairs re-glued and refinished as well as having brand-new cushions made and the seats re-webbed. About 5 weeks later, I got the call that the chairs were ready which was a week earlier than anticipated. When I walked into the shop, the chairs were practically levitating. They turned out fantastic! Just fabulous! They are like brand new and look like a million bucks. Literally. I will have these chairs for the rest of my life and they will just get better and better as they break in and wear. Though they don't feel like they will ever wear out - the quality of the work and materials is top notch. If you are looking to get something reupholstered, don't hesitate to head over to Leo's. If you aren't sure where to begin, or what's possible - ask Frank. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended. They refurnished my very old leather club chairs. So very patient with me as it took me weeks and many visits to request samples before I could decide. I finally decided on very reasonably priced leather; they have such a wide selection. They picked up exactly when they said they would, same with return. The refurnished chairs are about a year old now and even with my Labrador mix enjoying them they still look brand new, beautiful job...beautiful chairs. WONDERFUL company to do business with.

I have a couch that I bought at Carson's and the cushions went south in no time and they sent me replacement cushions (that were worse than the original), so I asked my friend if he knows of an upholstery company and he said Leo's and it is close by, so I called and spoke to Frank he was great!! I bought my cushions and boy oh boy! I feel like I have a new couch! Like Frank said it will be night and day, with the new cushions and he was right! I can't believe what a difference. It was the BEST investment I have made. I will tell everyone about Leo's.

I've had several items reupholstered here at Leo's over the past 20+ years I've lived here in Chicago...always been very happy.  

Recently, I took three old (50-60 yrs) chairs onto Leo's. They redid the horsehair cushions and put animal print fabric I had picked out on them. I absolutely love them and have received many compliments on them already.

The work was promised by a certain time but was done way ahead of time, which was a nice surprise. It's fun to see something you've had for years get a new make-over!

Also, they came and picked up and dropped off at the house.

Leo's expertly reupholstered and rebuilt a wood-grain executive office chair that was well worn. Leo's had a beautiful Ralph Lauren leather that matched the Michael's Cherry highlights on the original wood stain. The mechanical on the pedestal were worn, prior to replacement the height was non-adjustable. Frank Giordano, proprietor of the business, worked with me to find a replacement pedestal that was expertly stained to match the original stain and wood-grain. The workmanship at Leo's is top notch and the chair is better than when I originally purchased it. Leo's also picked up and delivered the chair to my residence in the Jefferson Park neighborhood. I would highly recommend this business to my family and friends. Job well done.

We just had sleeve covers made for our sofa. They did a great job at a good price. We did the measuring and drew a pattern and brought it the shop and then picked the job up two days later.

I highly recommend Leo's Upholstering. I was amazed by the friendly customer service and thought the price was reasonable for the top-quality job they did. They responded immediately to my call, picked up my couch within two days and had it back four days earlier than promised! They threw in a few extras, to my surprise, and I could not be happier with my "new" couch!

They upholstered two built-in benches in my basement. I thought they were excellent. Their prices were higher but I did receive quality work. They also offered suggestions as well if there was a problem that I had. I will hire them again in the future.

I had Leo's Upholstery recover a Club Chair and make three cushion covers with new foam for a bench all from the same fabric.

We arrived at Leo's with the chair to get an estimate for recovering it and three bench cushions. Frank, the proprietor, and some employees came to the car and unloaded the chair and cushions. Though Leo's Upholstery features a large offering of fabrics, we had brought our own fabric and Frank assessed the job and gave us a price. He was very professional and thoroughly explained what was to be done. His store and shop area were very organized and we could tell the business was accustomed to providing top quality work. Frank told us that the chair would be rebuilt with all new foam and that the pattern would match perfectly and that they would deliver the finished chair to our house. The chair and cushions exceeded our expectations. Everything was done beautifully. The pattern was perfect and the new foam made the chair better than new. This was not an easy job. It included piping and intricate details. I highly recommend using this company.

Frank was great on the phone with a quick response and estimate for the job. Because I was providing the fabric they waited for it to arrive, picked up the chair and fabric within a couple days of my call and delivered the finished chair ahead of schedule. Both the pickup and delivery were punctual. Their work is excellent and we are very pleased with the results. We have used Leo's before and would certainly use them again.

They re-stuffed two couch cushions and recovered a hardback wood chair, sofa, love seat, and 4 throw pillows. They did a great job everything turned out wonderful. There was a back order for the fabric but finished it when it came in.

Dog had chewed through the material and pulled the stuffing out of the couch (underneath the cushions). They picked up the couch, re-stuffed and laid a new (and sturdier) suede to the bottom (have to remove the current material and reset) Member.

Comments:

Frank was prompt to return my calls and schedule the job. Couch looks great and is definitely way more dog proof! Did the work within a week. Great job - would definitely recommend them.

I called to make an appointment for them to come to my home to see the chairs. When they came, they came when they said they would. They looked at the furniture and asked me questions concerning what I wanted to be done. For example, what shades did I want? I wanted essentially the original shades. They asked about the decorative tacks and again I said I wanted the something close to the originals. They gave me an estimate then and I agreed to it. They took the chairs then and gave me an estimate of three weeks or less. As it happened, the three weeks was at the time of the Super Bowl. I called after the second week to see if it was possible that the chairs would be finished in time. They explained what still needed to be done and asked me to call back in a couple of days. When I called back, they said that they would in fact be able to deliver the chairs before Super Bowl. They said they would deliver at 10:00 am and they did. All in all very good work and service.

I am so sorry it has taken all summer to send this to you.

I cannot thank you enough for the fabulous job you and your staff did on my patio furniture cushions. I have been searching for two years for replacement cushions. The body of the set was perfect, but the cushions had seen their day. I had been to a few other places to recover them, dragging them in and out after being disappointed by the price to replace them and the not interested attitude of the businesses I visited. Searching online was futile. No one had replacements. I know other people face this problem and I live in our yard, so when searching an upholstery shop near my job, your store came up. This was my very lucky day!!

When I came into the shop, you met me and helped me with the cushions. Your excitement in helping me pick out the material (remnants that saved me money, but still were excellent top quality) giving me swatches to help make up my mind. Your patience and understanding were so rare. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your help and beautiful work. You got them done in record time for the party I was having for my daughter's birthday. The throw pillows you designed made the set complete.
